New instructions will provide a more stable install procedure for the Viewsat Ultra.

1) Insert Memory Stick from Viewsat into the computer USB port
2) Click on the link above and save the file to your Removable Disk

3) Once you've saved the file remove USB Memory Stick from Computer

TURN OFF YOUR VIEWSAT FROM REAR SWITCH BEFORE INSTALLING MEMORY STICK IN RECEIVER

4) Place USB Memory Stick in Viewsat Ultra then turn unit on

5) Your Receiver will boot and start Installing PFTAUSWR.PGM

Your receiver is now upgraded when the machine reboots

Remove the memory stick from the receiver.

So far, VideoReDo is the only program with which I can open & play video files recorded on my FTA Viewsat PVR 7000. I've tried BS Player Pro, Windows Media Player, Nero Vision, DIVX Player, K-Lite Codec Pack with Media Player Classic, VLC, Real Player, Quick Time. LOADING .PGM FILES TO VIEWSAT EXTREME / ULTRA

Viewsat Pvr 7000 Files

Download Loader2.exe and save it to your Removable Disk

Download Zmodem32.dll and save it to your Removable Disk

Download Factory_v0125vultra.pgm and save it to your Removable disk. (FOR ULTRA MACHINES ONLY)

After Download Completed

1 Make sure ViewSat is turned off by master back switch
2 Connect the cable between and the back of your VIEWSAT (Serial Port) and your PC.
3 Open 'Loader2.exe' from Removable Disk
4 Click 'Open Files'
5 Browse to directory 'Removable Disk.
6 Click on 'factory_v0125ultra.pgm', Click 'OPEN'
7 Click PC-->STB on your computer screen; then Power 'ON' your ViewSat by ON/OFF switch . You should see the File loading properly.
WARNING: DO NOT POWER VIEWSAT OFF UNTIL TOLD!
When file transfer is completed, the Front Panel will display:
'inst' for 15 seconds while the software is being installed
'DONE' for 10 seconds while the ViewSat does what it does
The ViewSat will automatically REBOOT
You have installed the factory file!

Now download the latest update viewsat file and upgrade through the USB.

Viewsat Ultra Manual Key Entry
Code:
1. With unit on hit them MENU button on remote.
2. Scroll down to User Settings hit OK button on remote.
3. Enter in your Pin Code. Default is '0000'
4. Scroll down to Code Menu hit OK button on remote.
5. Scroll Right to Nagra.
6. Scroll Down
7. Scroll Left Dish 01 01 00 or OFF LIMITS 09 01 00
• These are the Keys needed to be changed. There are 2 Sets. They are 08 & 09 and 88 &
89.
8. Now depending on what key sets are to be changed. Usually displayed to you as
follows:

9. Using your remote Arrow Buttons to navigate to the specified key to be changed enter
in the new keys. Use the following to enter numbers and letters:
Numbers are 0-9.
Letter A is Button F1
Letter B is Button F2
Letter C is Button F3
Letter D is Button F4
Letter E is Button LAST CHANNEL
Letter F is Button Closed Caption
10. Once you have entered both lines need verify your entry and Hit the Exit Button.
11. You will then be prompted to save your information. Highlight Yes and hit OK
button on your remote.
12. Now just keep hitting the Exit button on remote till you get out of all menus and if
you have entered in the keys correctly you should now have picture back.

2. Enter Pin
3. Edit Channels
4. Push SAT on the remote and Select desired satellite
5. Push to the right and in the lower left corner will say delete also the trash can icon will be highlighted
6. Push the F3 to delete all channels in this satellite selected
7. Push Exit and Save all Changes
8. Push Exit again and go to Installation
9. Enter PIN
10. Auto Scan
11. Push F1 and select desired satellite to scan (checked off Satellite(s) you wish to scan)
12. Push Exit once only
13. Highlight Scan Start and Press OK
14. Once Satellite has been scanned Save Changes = Yes
15. Exit and go to desired channel all should be fixed

The Viewsat Platinum Lite was developed to meet the demand for a lower priced unit with the same power as the Viewsat Platinum. In order to accomplish this, we took the Viewsat Platinum and trimmed the fat. The Lite does not include a card reader or Dolby output. Standard remote included. The Lite also has one set of composite outputs. Other than that, it is just as user friendly and powerful as it's big brother, the Viewsat Platinum. Check with your dealer for pricing. This unit uses Platinum firmware.

The Viewsat Platinum Lite was developed to meet the demand for a lower priced unit with the same power as the Viewsat Platinum. In order to accomplish this, we took the Viewsat Platinum and trimmed the fat. The Lite does not include a card reader or Dolby output. Standard remote included. The Lite also has one set of composite outputs. Other than that, it is just as user friendly and powerful as it's big brother, the Viewsat Platinum. Check with your dealer for pricing. This unit uses Platinum firmware.
