Lotusflow3r is the 33rd full-length studio album by Prince (sold in a package with his 34th album MPLSound). Adobe premiere 2.0 free. It was initially released as a download on the launch date of Prince's website lotusflow3r.com, with a CD release exclusively at Target five days later, in a 3CD package that also included MPLSound and Bria Valente's first and only album. Lotusflow3r.com was Prince ‘s official website from 31 January 2009, designed and built by Scott Addison Clay and Anthony Malzone. The website was open to subscribers from 24 March 2009 where Prince's LotusFlow3r and MPLSound albums along with Bria Valente's Elixer album was available for download both in MP3 and WAV formats. In 2009, Prince came back online after a brief break following 3121.com. This time his web experience was directly tied to the release of his Lotusflow3r 3-CD Set, with vibrant 3D imagery and animation connected to the music and the album design. Lotusflow3r.com was Prince‘s official website from 31 January 2009, designed and built by Scott Addison Clay and Anthony Malzone. The website was open to subscribers from 24 March 2009 where Prince's LotusFlow3r and MPLSound albums along with Bria Valente's Elixer album was available for download both in MP3 and WAV formats. Each album occupied its own part of a 3D ‘galaxy', but the song Cause And Effect followed as a standalone MP3 one month before the website's closure. A globe containing video clips was also available. A physical version of the albums, sold as three-disk set, was available through an exclusivity arrangement with Target chain stores.
Lotusflow3r.com was open to members for exactly 365 days and with a one-time subscription fee of $77 under the sole purpose to distribute the three albums to fans. A handful of other songs were later available, however, despite hopes for the service to continue into a second year the website closed on 23 March 2010. This left Prince for the next three years, in part out of fatigue with running membership services and meeting expectations, but in the main because of his growing distrust with the internet and how the digitisation of music had in his view devalued music. He sensationally declared: 'The internet is over'.
